About Us

The Biomechanical Institute for Orthodontics, also known as BiO, is an orthodontic study group based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Founded in Manila in 2016, BiO has since the progressively evolved into providing basic and advanced orthodontic trainings for dentists around South East Asia, particularly, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, and its largest, Malaysia. BiO’s Orthodontic Principles are founded on the emphasis of functional rehabilitation of the masticatory organ by a routine 3-dimensional workflow on diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment approach with tooth attachments and Temporary Anchorage Devices.

Mission

BiO’s goal is to equip dentists who are doing orthodontic treatments with a robust thought process to manage any diagnostic, planning, or skill challenge that may be encountered in managing their patients with malocclusion.

BiO seeks to use its platform to provide a strong foundation for its members to unlock their maximum potential in life.
